Stephen Walter (b. 1975, British) is a London based contemporary artist and he graduated with a fine arts degree from the Royal College of Art (London) in 2001. Stephen's work often portrays a romantic vision of the natural landscape juxtaposed against an ever growing human influence and this juxtaposition is often portrayed in an ironic and humorous way. Stephen's work spans several disciplines such as printing, photography, photomontages, drawing and painting.

Stephen's work has been exhibited in countries such as UK, USA, Australia, Ireland and the Netherlands and he has had several solo shows in London. Walters work is held in numerous private collections and in the collections of institutions such as The British Museum, The Victoria & Albert Museum and The Houses of Parliament Museums. Recently Stephen has been a fellow at the Royal Academy where he also has exhibited with great success.
