Jesse Reno was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, USA in 1974 and he currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon. Jesse Reno is a self taught painter mainly working with mixed medias such as acrylic, oil pastel and coloured pencils on wood and canvas.

Jesse Reno's work mainly centers around and explores the increasing divide between humans and nature and in his work he strives to re-call the wild origins of the human soul. Iconic beasts such as birds and snakes merge with humans and we feel sympathy and compassion towards his trapped and out of place hybrid figures.
