Contemporary artist Elin Melberg (born 14.09.1976) is from Stavanger on the south west coast of Norway, where she currently also lives. In 2000 she graduated with a BA (Hons) in painting from Winchester School of Art and in 2002 she graduated with an MA in printmaking from the Royal College of Art in London.

Elin Melberg frequently uses strong and highly autobiographical imagery to lay bare the up's and down's of her life. Her work incorporates diciplins such as drawing, painting and print making and her boldly coloured paintings with sewn on beads underline her distinct, very personal and easily recognisable style.

In addition to having exhibited extensively throughout her native Norway and has also exhibited in countries such as the UK, Brazil, Japan and South Korea. In 2008 she had solo shows in countries such as Denmark and the United States.
